So this link says you're supposed to wait 18-23 months to start TTC after either a vaginal delivery or c-section. I always thought you could start TTC 6 months after  Anyone know the right length of time? I suppose it might differ woman to woman?

I have no idea. I'm going to ask my GP at my 6 week check up.

I was told to wait 12 months by the doctor who did my section.

My ob told me six months. I think it's just up to the doctor and the woman.

ooopps, my DD will be 20months when DS arrives and i had her via emcs!! i have been classed as high risk due to a section not so long ago and having a 2nd tri loss, but i havent been told by midwife anything about falling pregnant to soon.. however, i was actually on the pill and the midwives do know this so maybe thats why!! i have had no complications etc just having another planned section due to babies size and wa sjust told that if i laboured naturally then i would be closly monitored and the min i started having contractions would have to be in hospital, but i think thats standard procedure as scar is a weak point!!

If you want a vbac 12 months between deliveries seems to be the point where risk drops (from 3% to 0.2% see here). No one has said anything about the fact ds will only be 14.5 mos when this lo is born.
