I have a ectopic in September treated with methotrexate. Swore I was pregnant this month but AF came a few days early. Been getting BFN's so pretty sure I'm out. My cycles are still not normal but I'm still trying to track O. Bought my bbt thermometer last night and ovulation sticks so should get them soon ! How long did it take you to conceive ? Did you have normal cycles right after?

I had an ectopic treated with methotrexate in July 2012. We didn't start ttc again until after three cycles as this was advised by the doctor. We fell pregnant with my son the first cycle we tried again in October 2012. My cycles have never been regular even before the ectopic so can't comment on that. I had a mmc in April this year and ttc my second is proving much more difficult. Xxx

I waited three months as well and we tried so hard this past month and I swore I was pregnant because my breasts got big and they were leaking and I've never seen that before and I've also never had a child. I got pink spotting for 2 days then red for 4 days so I called my doctor since my tests were all negative and I'm waiting on blood results just to put my mind at ease that I'm not. But now I'm wondering if I have a hormonal imbalance. Which I hope isn't the case.

Are you doing anything extra to help you conceive ? I'm just using OPK's and ordered a bbt thermometer to help.

Well I was. I was doing opks, preconceive multivitamin, evening primrose oil. But I've kinda just abandoned all that now. I guess for me I've come to terms with the fact a second might be beyond my reach. I guess for me if it happens it happens. But when ttc my first I went all out! Opks the lot. Sperm meet egg plan also (worth googling if you've not already heard of it!). It must've worked cause as I say I conceived after the ectopic pretty much straight away. Defo go back to your docs if you worried about a hormone imbalance. They can do day21 bloods to check. But ultimately, try not to worry, it's likely your cycle just needs a wee bit longer to settle after the ectopic. The thing is you now know you can get pregnant, even if the first pregnancy didn't go to plan. Xxx

My husband and I had our first pregnancy about 2 years ago, after 16 years together. It resulted in an ectopic and tubal removal. After the ectopic, I visited with an acupuncturist to help regulate my cycles again and it really helped. My cycles are regulated now and the acupuncture really helped my stress levels. We have been actively TTC since without any help or too much pressure or stress involved (meaning, I track my ovulation and cycles, but haven't done the temp tracking , etc...) Still no luck. I just wanted to say, Don't give up and try not to worry too much. Even with a normal cycle it is not always easy. So stay encouraged and keep your head up. And with any luck we will both have great news to celebrate soon into the new year. Stay Blessed and Encouraged! You are not alone :0)

You all are so encouraging. Thank you so much ❤️ I'm just going to do OPK and temp.
