TTC after ectopic

Anyone have advice for TTC after ectopic treated with methotrexate? Or anyone that's had success after.

Sorry I can't answer your question, I had an ectopic but it had ruptured so they couldn't save my tube but I didn't want to read and run. So good luck with your journey �� x

I'm just going through an ectopic now, waiting for my last blood test tomorrow for the doc to decide if babes in my tubes so will need it removed.

They told me if I choose to have the methotrexate, then I would need to wait 6 months before trying again and as my tube would already be damaged there would be chance of another ectopic, BUT there would be no reason as to why I wouldn't conceive naturally again.

Hi, I'm sorry you are going through this.

On a positive note I had a ruptured ectopic which resulted in emergency surgery, blood transfusion and my tube was removed...I was given the all clear to ttc 2 months after and fell pregnant straight away.

So positive thinking, relax and recover and soon you will be on the road to recovery

Had my methotrexate shot last October. My doctor monitored my HCG down to 0 (took about 6 weeks) and then we had to wait for my period to begin again, then be on multivitamins for 3 cycles to replenish the folate in my system.

The wait to try again is EXCRUCIATING but it's important to get your vitamin levels back up to avoid birth defects when you fall pregnant again. I used the time to improve my health after it was shattered by the ectopic/methotrexate--I exercised (I'm now running on the elliptical for 1 hour/day), ate well, and tracked my cycle religiously so that when it came time to try again, I had a good idea of what to expect with my cycle.

Just wondering how they gave you the all clear to start trying again? Do you have more blood tests to see if all the drugs are out of your system?

Because my ectopic was missed 3 times I actually got to 12 weeks when it ruptured so I didn't have any drugs in my system. It was a case of surgery, taking the tube out and being given blood. Once I had physically recovered from this I was given the ok.
So although a different scenario I just wanted to say that positive outcomes are possible

I have had 2 ectopic pregnancies both treated with mtx both were in my right tube. First ep was in 2010 and next one 2013. I was so devastated the last one, me and Dh prayed and I decided to continue exercising and trying to eat right got to a really good place in my life and bamb I am now 37weeks with a little girl. Nothing special I did I prayed a lot and also I started taking a baby aspirin, and b12, I'm a nurse and I kept getting constant daily migraines when a doctor I worked with suggested I take a daily baby aspirin and one month after taking those 2 my miracle baby made her journey down the tube and planted where she should be. I know how you feel right now but don't give up pray and have faith that God will bless you with a baby. I wish you all the luck and baby dust in the world, I will say a prayer for you. It can happen!
