Hello,

I am new here. I am 29, and my husband and I have been TTC for over 4 years now. I just had a laproscopy, DNC and HSG last month, and the doctor discovered endometriosis on the outside of my uterus. He burnt the endometriosis off, and says I should be good to go. I am terrified that after all this, I still wont get pregnant. I am thinking of taking clomid since I still have some refills from when we did an IUI cycle. I have read several people use clomid after the laproscopy. Has anyone done this? Should I take the clomid?

Thanks,

Miranda

Hey hope you dont mind me stopping by. I had five laps and extensive surgery for severe endo over the past five years. My last lap was in Oct last year. I started Clomid just to see whilst I was on the IVF waiting list and my consultant didnt think it would help and I got pregnant in early Dec. And found in early Jan that we are expecting twins.

Def take it honey. I am living proof that good can come from this. Good luck x

Hey,
I had a lap 2 weeks ago and had stage 3 endo burned/lasered off. The gyno said I was good to go too... but I'm also terrified I won't get pregnant.
Still getting endo symptoms now and don't feel it's helped much. Not been offered anything to help at all. Going to see the doctor on Monday, but they'll probably just try to put me on birth control, which is obviously not what I want!
Never been offered clomid or anything like that.
Been trying 9 months x

I've had endo for 10 years, 7 laps. The last was in March when it had got severe and they had to do all sorts to me to fix it. Four cycles later and I am pregnant - bearing in mind that I was told five years ago that there's a high chance I can't have children.

I can't comment on whether you should take the clomid or not (but I would talk to my gp if I was you) but there are plenty of success stories out there with and without it.

GL and :dust:
