Hello,
I've been hearing a lot of mixed word and I'm hoping someone could help me clear it all up.
I just recently discovered I miscarried on the Nov 1st when I went in for my OBGYN appointment. They baby measured at 6w1d and based on the timeline I should have been about 12wks. The doctor gave me the pills and instructions and I went home. An hour after I took the pills (I was out in public) I started bleeding heavily and was rushed to the hospital. After being admitted another OBGYN Dr. came up and authorized a D&C. Everything went well and I went home a few hours later. On Nov 12, I had a follow up appointment with my OBGYN to make sure everything was well. When she did the ultrasound she was looking around and said she seen an egg. I'm not sure where she saw it, however I know it wasn't it the uterus. After that statement my husband told her we had had sex the night before and was curious to see if she could tell that from the ultrasound. Lol. That evening, I went and bought more ovulation tests since we decided we wanted to try again. The test popped positive. Then all week this week it popped positive again. I remember testing before I went to the dr and it was negative but now I am getting positives. I took a pregnancy test and it also popped positive.
Could I be pregnant again so soon? And the tests be positive already?

It's possible to get pregnant after a miscarriage (and I know because it just happened to me) but what's probably happening in your case, especially since your miscarriage happened only a few weeks ago, is your hCG hasn't dropped back down from it's previously increased pregnancy levels. Your opks might be positive as because of this as well since they will pick up residual hCG too. I'd test again in a few days with an hpt and see if it's getting lighter or darker. If it's lighter, then it's just the hCG leaving your system. If it's darker, it could be a new pregnancy. Also be aware that it might take a few weeks extra to get your period the first time as you probably won't cycle until after the hCG has dropped enough. For me, I've always gotten my period 4 weeks after my hCG drops back to 0 and that can take anywhere from 1 week to 4 weeks depending on how high the level was. Good luck and I hope you get your rainbow baby soon!
