Hi ladies.

On Friday we learned our baby had passed. DH and I decided I should take Misoprostol to move the process along, so I did. I was informed I would bleed 2-3 weeks. I'm having a follow up ultrasound to ensure everything is ok on May 8th.

We'd like to begin trying again asap, but I'm not sure when I should start temping or OPKing again. Has anyone done this? When did you start temping/OPKing?

Many thanks.

Hi Kbcupcake,
First, i want to tell you how sorry i am for your loss. I experienced the same thing back in march and i know how hard it is. I took Cytotec (which is the same as misoprostal) and passed everything. I bled for about 1 week then spotted for a week after. I was told that you cant put anything "there" until the bleeding stops but after, its perfectly fine to start trying right away, you dont need to wait. I think maybe some doctors may tell their patients to wait because emotionally, it can be hard but for me, i know that moving forward and trying again will be the way for me to heal the most.
Good luck to you and big hugs!

Thanks for the info, it was helpful. I'm sorry for your loss too. Hugs to you. :)

I'm so sorry for your loss. We loss our Hannah unexpectdly at 26 weeks in march and they did 3 rounds of misoprostal to induce natural delivery. Our recommendation was based on my emotional well being and work on some weightloss to reduce more complications. I ovulated exactly a month after the loss and have had a period and am fertile now. After talking with our doctor again yeaterday we are ready to try. I would talk to them at the scan because you want to make sure everything is out. Every situation is different.

Hi Kerri, I appreciate your msg. I'm sincerely sorry for your loss, at 26w that sounds traumatic. Mine was only 6w and it was incredibly heartbreaking.

I'll have a chat with the docs about it at my appt. Honestly I don't know how well I can tolerate another MC. Emotionally I'm fine now but physically it was the worst thing I've experienced. I had terrible contractions for the past 3 days and last night was especially bad. I couldn't get comfortable and I broke down many times. Fortunately DH got me extra strength meds which dulled the pain, but I have to say it was traumatic. All DH could do was rub my back and let me squeeze his hand. Ugh :( If I have another MC I don't know what I'll do.

I hope you get your bfp as soon as you're ready. I wish you lots of luck. Hugs :flower:
