TTC after misscarraige

Hi Everyone
I'm just wondering how long it took for you to conceive after a misscarraige? Does ovulation get right back to normal?

My DH and I went off BC and got pregnant right away with our first. From the time I went off BC to the time I found out I was pregnant I didn't get a period. So I'm apparently very fertile. Unfortunately, we had a misscarraige Sept 22 at 7 weeks. Two weeks later I still had remaining tissue and went in for a d & c to prevent infection. It has been 7 weeks since my surgery. We started trying after my first AF since the MC. AF went from Nov 3-8, so we've been actively trying since the 8th. What are the odds we will actually conceive this cycle? I'm excited & can't stop thinking about it. I think I'm feeling things happening and since it was quick last time, could it again be that quick? I guess I will find out Dec 1 but just was looking for some feedback in the mean time.

I'm so sorry for your loss. After my first miscarriage and D&C in July of this year, we got pregnant again in September after 2 cycles. Unfortunately lost that baby, too (had nothing to do with the miscarriage). I had my 2nd D&C done Oct. 30 and now I'm just waiting - waiting for a BFP or AF. We did start trying again as soon as I stopped bleeding from the procedure so hoping I'm pregnant again. Good luck to you!

Took me 8 months. But also lost second baby to ectopic.

My story is very very similar to yours this is my 2nd cycle of TTC after my D&C normally before my MC my cycles were 28 days I have noticed that my 2nd AF was at about 34 days but im ovulating today which is consistant with my 28 day cycle again. Im hoping to become pregnant this cycle as well wishing you baby dust if you ever want to private message let me know

My situation exactly....my AF after miscarrying became irregular. the last one i had was 32 days. before MC i had 28 day cycles. i went to the doctor and he says i have PCOS so was given Metformin, Bio-folic acid and M2 tone medicine. i am hoping to have my hormones balanced this cycle

Thanks for all your replies ladies. I'm so sorry you went through a loss or multiple losses. A few more days...waiting for a BFP or AF. Fingers crossed. Im typically a 28 day cycle too but haven't had AF not on BCP so I'm not really sure how long my cycles will be now. I will keep you posted.

I think everyone is different, and it can be different after each loss so no one can really guess for you. I conceived straight away before AF 3 weeks after my first loss, and had my DD. Then conceived straight away again 3 weeks after a loss this year before AF, but unfortunately that time it ended in another loss but a mmc this time which was found over 9 weeks. So I don't know how long my cycles will take to come back this time, but probably longer than the previous losses, and I will probably wait longer to try again this time as my body probably needs more time to recover from the mmc than the natural mc. I usually ovulate around 3 weeks into my cycle so the two early losses didn't seem to effect it at all.

It only took me two months the first time. Back to TTC this cycle! Waiting to ovulate.
