TTC before first cycle...

Hey ladies nice to meet you all, I have only posted here once I think... but I had a MMC at 12 weeks (baby was 9 weeks) and passed everything naturally at home 3 days after finding out that baby was gone. This was on May 28th. SO now it's been almost 3 weeks. The bleeding stopped almost a week ago and I'm pretty sure I am ovulating right now (based on consistency of CM).

SO.... hubby and I decided to try again already, before waiting for AF. I've read a TON of information, most of which seems to say that there are no real physical dangers of conceiving before cycling after m/c. It seems it is usually recommended to wait atleast one cycle (and sometimes 2 or 3) more for emotional health reasons AND for dating purposes. So we "tried" last night and the night before.. and now I think I'm going to wait for AF before trying again. This way, if we are lucky enough to get pregnant again, we can date it based on date of conception..

Anyone else trying before 1st AF? Anyone have some experience with this to share?

Hey sweetie - sorry about your loss.
I had a miscarriage two weeks ago everything passed naturally, so no D&C needed.
We're trying again already as the doctor said it's fine too.
I personally think it's absolutely fine to try again so soon after if your emotionally ready

Hi Terri. i had a MMC at 11 weeks on 22nd May and like you passed everything naturally. The consultant we are using is a specialist in his field in the UK and said that physically there is no reason not to try right away as long as we were mentally ready. I had my husband on a sex ban previously because I was so scared something bad would happen and at 12 weeks was going to revoke it - therefore since the MMC we had been doing it quite frequently! I am now getting period pains but no period and don't know if it is pyschological but it reminds me of the implantation pain I had.......

Hi Terri, sorry for your loss. I miscarried on May 22nd and passed everything naturally, and I have been TTC since a week after it happened. My doctor told me there was no medical reason why you had to wait (and he actually told me to go home and get pregnant). So if you feel ready for it, go ahead Good Luck!

hey huni - i also lost my bean at 12 wks ( baby died at 9wks)
Had an erpc end April.

We TTC as soon as bleeding stopped but it took 32days for my 1st AF...

see i was told at the epu to try and wait till i had had one cycle.. sooo would it be okay to get pregnant this cycle once bleeding has stopped if we did catch the egg?

yes it would be ok. The reason they like you to have one cycle first is so they can date it. I actually just tested and got a BFP!!! I only miscarried 4 weeks ago tomorrow, so go for it

Theres no medical reason why you should not get preg straight away.... If your ready emotionally - GO FOR IT
