TTC Buddy Needed - Just Come Off Pill.

Hi ...

I took my last pill Friday 13th August, and am just awaiting my withdrawal bleed any day now. We are hoping to TTC straight away and I am looking for a buddy just to chat to about everything and go through the whole process together!

I'm 21, and live with my partner who is 35. Any offers?

Hi, I am new here and this is my first post! I will be your buddy!
I came off of the pill July 25th at the end of the pack. I am TTC #3, I have a 9 yr old girl and 6 yr old boy. I just assumed we would conceive right away but from reading on here it seems it can take your body a while to get back to normal!
I'm 30 now and my husband is 35.

How far are you into your cycle at the moment? I'm only CD2 so still on my withdrawal bleed. As you say Coral it's anyones guess how long it will take for your body to get back to normal, however, I was talking to my friend earlier and she was on the same pill as I am and managed to conceive straight away, so I have a little bit of hope!

How long was it until you got your first real AF after coming off the pill?

I am on day 17, seem to have settled into a 30 day cycle so should be OV soon.

I was Cilest for 15yrs, came off and had a clockwork 28 day bleed, then it all went a bit squiffy, but now seems to have settled into 30 days, plenty of for me.

I know people who came off and didnt even have a bleed, others are the average 3mths but then some take ages, one specialist told a friend work on one mth for every yr, so i may be here for some time xx

It's all down to sooo many variables it's unreal and each mth is a real rollercoster.

How long were you on BCP & what brand?

I was on Yasmi.
Limtu I thought I read that it doesn't matter how long you were on BC the body has to adjust the same?
I am 22days into my cylce so we will see, If AF doesn't come by day 28 I might test just to see but can't imagine it being so quick!

I came off microgynon (after almost 10 years) on 18th July. I've got my 1st 'real' AF at the moment I had a 28 day cycle. Since coming off the pill, I've no idea what my body has been up to - very little sign of any cm so very difficult to predict ovulation, etc... so although we bd last cycle, it was more ntnp I suppose... didn't really make any effort... so hoping that now I have AF body will settle down a bit... so I'm counting this as my first TTC cycle

coral, I have read the same thing numerous places - that the time it takes for your body to re-adjust after coming off the pill has no relation to how long you were on it... that it's just to do with individuals - it wouldn't matter whether that person had been on it for 6 months or 15 years, etc... People are just different

yeah everyone is different, I think the point of the comment was to give her a timescale.

Thats just the problem isnt it no body really knows and everyone is so different, I have been totally different to my Sister even down to which BCP suited me.

It's all very random and frustrating, I think we have all just got to keep going and see what happens. Fingers x'd for us all and lots of

Im 23 and my OH is 24. We are TTC bubba #2
I came off my pill at the end of June. Im not charting or temping etc at the moment we are just going to wait and see what happens! It took us about 1 year to concieve our little boy so im guessing it will be the same wait again

I've just started temping, and I'm using opk's... but tbh, I'm not really using them for NOW, but just to build up a good knowledge in case it takes a while and I have to take it all more seriously... For the first few months at least I want to try and remain a bit more relaxed... But will collect all the info in case I'm getting no-where in a few months... As I'm 31 now, I really don't want it to take too long, so I'm doing all the preparation now in case it doesn't happen easily... Don't want to try for 6 months, get nowhere and THEN have to start temping, etc and loose another 6 months trying to get to know what's going on... Does that make sense, lol?!?!? The other reason I'm doing it is to make sure I actually AM ovulating... Again, don't want to try for months and then realise it's pointless because I'm not even ovulating!!! But yeah, I'm hoping I'm wasting my time and it will happen quite quickly!!!

I was on Microgygon 30 and had been for 5 years so we shall wait and see. I was speaking to a friend who was on the same and she conceived straight away, so my fingers are crossed!

Hey all. I stopped taking the pill yesterday and we are TTC as soon as I've had this "period" in a few days.
I have been on Microgynon 30 for a few months.
My son was conceived the first cycle after coming off the same pill, having been on it for 2 years, so hopefully I won't be waiting too long. I won't be temping or anything. Will just let things happen when they happen.
I'm 18 and OH is 25.

I'm hoping I ovulated whne I think I did. I have no experience temping or using ovulating kits, and don't think I will but who knows!

Hi, I'm 24, will hopefully be 25 when I become a Mummy, I came off Yasmin at the end of July, had the usual withdrawal and now eagerly awaiting my first normal AF - think it helps with dating etc and the Nurse advised me to at least have 1 normal period before TTC.

Hopefully we'll get lucky in September I really can't wait, my main worry is that it will take quite a while to catch, fingers crossed we get lucky next month
