TTC First Time

Hey.. my boyfriend and I are trying to concieve our first child.. We had intercourse two days before my ovulation. We had done it three times through out the day trying to ensure I would have enough sperm to pounce on the egg when it was released. After i ovulated the following week my breasts became very sensitive and sore.. I have never felt this before ever since i hit puberty. Im due NEXT week for a period but my breasts get so sore that i have to soak in the tub.. I also had cramping just yesterday morning then it went away which is also very unsual for me..

Do you guys think we could have concieved?

Unprotected sex always gives you that chance, but symptom spotting doesn't help much except assist in passing the time. Remember that it takes 6-12 days for an egg to implant (average is 7-10 days), so any symptoms you may have had before that time are strictly luteal phase symptoms.

Im not sure when its best to take a test so.. Probably going to wait a few more days.

It's best to test on the first day of your missed period, but you can usually start getting reasonably accurate results (80% or better) starting at 12dpo. It ultimately depends on when implantation occurs for you. It can happen anywhere between 6-12dpo, with the average being 7-10dpo, and it takes at least two days to produce enough hcg to reach testable levels with a sensitive test.

So the longer you can hold out, the better!

Okay! It’s 10 dpo and today I woke up as normal and went to the bathroom. I tinkled and wiped to find pink blood. I wiped and wiped.. and it went away. Nothing since then.. FX sorry for the TMI Monday is the day I’m due for a monthly but with these signs I’m praying I have conceived !! Excited

Sad .. I didn’t test but I got my monthly like an hour later .. started bleeding more heavily. I’m guessing it’s a BFN.. I cried for a good bit honestly.
