Hello, I am new to this forum and I suppose just looking for advice/support. I fell pregnant first cycle ttc with my first and am really struggling this time around. I have been ttc for 18 months now and miscarried at 11 weeks pregnant back in January. I have been taking folic acid and b vitamins and using ovulation tests and have even started having blood tests at my doctors but still nothing! I just get so sad thinking about how the age gap between my first born is getting bigger and bigger and there's nothing I can do. Anyone else in the same situation? X

Yes very similar. Hi and welcome!! I fell pregnant with my ds the same as you, first cycle and I never once imagined it would be taking this long with ttc a second baby. The age gap is really getting to me now, I'm just hoping it all works out in the end. Sorry short reply, but feel free to message and chat, pm or just in this thread. Happy to have someone to share this with although sorry you're going through it too.

Sorry to hear your having trouble too 😦 I know it sucks - the worst thing is the panic as the age gap gets bigger and then stressing out because of it! My daughter is 27months now and we've been trying since she was 9 months old. I don't know why but I stupidly feel really positive about this cycle (although I did with all of them) haha xx

Yeh I feel all our plans for ttc got pushed back, as we moved U.K. To USA just after ds turned two, I didn't feel ready to try before that and we didn't want to move with a newborn to a place I had no family or support. Then once we moved and settled in it took 6 months to sort health insurance, so by the time we were ttc ds was 2 years 8 months. He's now 3 years 5 months and even if we conceive this cycle he'll be 4 yrs 3 months by the time baby arrived 🙁 Some days I feel like it could really affect him and it's selfish to want another, but I just hope as siblings they could have a good relationship even if it's a big age gap.

I'm so sorry for your loss in January, here's hoping for bfps x

I am with you Sarahttc123. I have a five year old boy. I had a miscarriage in Sept 2016 at 13 weeks. I have since had two chemical pregnancies. I go through the pain each time, but I also mourn for the fact that I cannot give him a sibling which he prays for every night. I try and remind myself that no matter what, he will be ok. I know it is so hard. Praying for you and so sorry for your loss.

Yeah that's tough fxmummyduck- we're in the UK - where did you live?
I wonder how much of a gap is too much? I have just had progesterone tests done and they came back inconclusive so Dr doesn't know if I ovulated or not which is annoying.
Sorry for your loss emptybc. It's really tough. It's also rubbish knowing that even if you do get pregnant again, it's not a sure thing anyway! Would love to give my daughter a sibling and it's so frustrating!
