Hi ladies,

I just had my first BFP and subsequently, my first chemical pregnancy last week. It was very early (at only 4 weeks and 3 days) and the bleeding is already subsiding.

I was wondering if anyone has any experience with trying again right after the chemical with no period in between. I don't necessarily anticipate that we'll get pregnant right away but I just wanted to get back into the trying process again.

Does anyone know possible (physical) risks to doing this?

As far as I know (and was told after my miscarriage) there is no physical risk once the bleeding has stopped. They just suggest it's better to wait after a miscarriage so a pregnancy can be dated more easily. But after a chemical there shouldn't be that issue really.

And if you think about it, some women may not ever be aware of a chemical if they only test after a late period (like me!) because they'd just think it was a normal period.

I got pregnant with my son after a chemical with no periods in between, I had a healthy pregnancy and my boy is 6 yrs old now. But dating wasn't accurate, scan was always 1 week behind as they considered the chemical pregnancy as LMP. I had a scan to check ovulation on CD13 (calculated from day 1 of bleeding during the chemical) but the scan didn't show ovulation, so it seems that I ovulated a week later,

I remember the dates

Chemical bleeding started 2nd Feb 2009 - I was 10 days late with irregular periods
Scan 14th Feb - no ovulation
BFP 5th March
LMP due date 9th November
Scan due date 17th November and I gave birth on that day.
