TTC with PCOS. Taking Metformin....need advice

What should I do? I have been taking Metformin and have not had a period unless helped along with Provera. Diagnosed PCOS for 4 years now. TTC baby #1 for a year, and nothing!! Getting discouraged and dont know what I should do next?? Anyone else experiencing same situation?

How long have you been taking metformin and what dosage? I am on 1500mg metformin a day and have been taking it for 3 months now. It regulated my periods straight away down to 29-30 days which was amazing seems as i could go over 100 days before having it. Not 100% that it has made me ovulate as of yet but this month and last month I got positive opks around day 15 so fxd it has! If you haven't been taking met for long I would say keep going with it, From what i have researched about it, It can have amazing results for some ladies but do absolutely nothing for others so I guess only time tells best of luck x

I have been taking metformin for almost a year come June!! 1500mg/day-- No AF since last October. Even with no AF, I have researched where metformin has helped lower the risk of miscarriages.It has helped me lose weight, 30 pounds and counting....

Do you spend a lot of money on opks? I was considering buying a CBFM, but will it be worth since I dont have a regular monthly? its $200 so thats a big investment for something that may not work for me...

I personally wouldn't spend alot of money on things like that because they are prone not to work with pcos'ers. I only buy cheap ones from ebay around £4 for 20 of them. well done on the weight loss that sounds great, I have lost 12lb so far so around 1lb a week for me.
