Hi my name is Lisa ( i just joined today) I am 28yrs old and married. My husband who is 41 and i have been trying to concieve for the last 7yrs. Since i got my periods as a teenager i was always in pain and every doctor i saw wouldnt help me until my new gp this year refered me to a specialist who did heaps of blood tests. Turns out i have insulin resitance which is associated with PCOS, so he has put me on medication DIABEX and also scheduled surgery for me to have a laparoscopy. I want to be a mum so bad!! I have a 9yr old stepdaughter who i am a fulltime mum to and would like to give her some sibblings.

My Dr wouldnt put me on Metformin as she said it isnt good for woman TTC but I totally disagree with her! I have read so much info online about metformin being prescribed to woman with PCOS. I am making another appointment and am going to ask her if she will prescribe it for me. Heres hoping with get our BFP soon
