DH and I have been TTC for 2 years with no luck. I had blood tests done and he had SA and everything came back normal. I had an HSG done on day 8 of my cycle this month. Dr said everything was normal. We did BD on day 11 and 13. I am now in day 16 and am having lower abdominal cramps on my right side all day and blood only when I wipe. I have never had spotting before AF. I am wondering if it could be from the HSG. I'm so confused and worried that something is wrong.

Rae,
I wouldn't worry too much about the spotting. I am having my hsg done on Friday and my doctor said it is normal to spot for up to a week afterwards. I have also been trying for 2 years. I am 24 and my husband is 27. I am nervous about the hsg but it will be worth it to hopefully get some answers. Let me know how you are feeling. I hope you get your BFP soon!

Spotting after an HSG is normal - especially when you're BD-ing as it irritates the cervix a bit. If it is just a tiny bit (and likely brownish pink), I'd try not to worry about it.

I've had two (one incomplete due to an incompetent tech), and I did spot for a bit after the second one. I spotted worse after my endometrial biopsy and saline ultrasound though.

Like you, hubs and I are in the "unexplained" camp - cycle 21 for us right now. It's a hard, scary road.

I spotted after my HSG. Everything for me was normal too. DH and I have been ttc for almost 4 years with one mc almost two years ago.

Thanks for the encouragement! We went to see a fertility dr today and I am excited about the outcome.
I was so nervous I don't really remember everything that he said. He wants me to call when I start my next cycle which should be tomorrow and set up an appointment to run some more tests.
Anyone know what kind of tests he will do since I've already had bloodwork and the HSG.

Could be a lot of things. Might want to re-run your CD 4 test. They might want to do some timed ultrasounds. They may even want to wait until cd1 to prescribe your meds for the cycle if they want you on Clomid or Femara.

I just wanted to say hang in there. We just hit the 2 year mark in April. We have unexplained too. Hubby has great SA numbers and I ovulate, all tests pretty normal. They did clomid to try and boost ovulation, but after three failed cycles with clomid we moved onto IUI with a trigger. On a side note, I've been on clomid and femara and I have had way less side effects with femara. I know everyone's different but just wanted to put that out there. I am currently in the tww after our IUI and after 2+ years it feels good to have renewed hope. I'm glad your meeting with your fertility doctor went well. Having a plan helps feel in control of a frustrating situation.

I went to get blood work done to check my hormone levels and a vaginal ultrasound Thursday, since I started my cycle. I had to go back today to do more blood work for prenatal and genetics.
They said the results would take about 2 weeks to come in. After that I would have another consult with the dr to start a treatment. So I guess that means this cycle we will not get to start anything. It's so frustrating!
So far everything is coming back normal. I really want to just try an IUI. I'm so done "trying!"
