TTCAL with PCOS, who's with me??

So I've stayed away from bnb for few months just popping back every now and then but I think I maybe ready to be back here (this board only!)

Christmas Eve 2013 we got our (3rd) bfp on cd72 and couldn't believe it! I had been diagnosed with pcos earlier that cycle and the docs had agreed to try for some help through FS's but we then no longer needed it! We had been TTC since May with no luck. We had a scan 3 wks later (due to long cycle) and saw a little blob, no hb, I should have been 7wks, the world crashed! I knew then that it was over. I'd had spotting but nothing else. They said they would rescan in 4wks time! I told my mw this and she was livid contacted EPAU and they said the same, that I needed a rescan the following week. Growth of approx 1mm but couldn't be sure as the first scan wasn't internal. Bloods showed a slight increase in hcg but 60 over a week isn't enough! So then we knew it was over. That was 23rd Jan and as I got off the phone from reviving my blood results I started to MC. I was home alone with our lb and needed my husband with me. Fast forward a week, I got a sick note for work, the bleeding stopped after a week a scan showed avert thing had passed.

I was advised to wait three months before TTC again as I needed the mc vaccine, we didn't, just a month! Although AF didn't arrive until CD90!

So here I am, cD14 today, our second cycle after mc, lying on the sofa poorly so no bd here! But safe in the knowledge I will not ovulate anytime soon, started temping (the spike at cd13 is a fluke, no sleep and tummy bug!) and we are gonna make this cycle the one we conceive! That's the plan anyway!!

So who's with me?? No pcos required just a heart aching for a rainbow and will to continue!

Each day is one closer to holding our rainbows, no matter when we conceive xxxx

Im with you!! So sorry for your loss
Was also told to wait 3 cycles, which for me would take a year so I am certainly not waiting. Doc told me I can start clomid again in June, which would be two months after MC.( I think he miss calculated a month lol, which is fine by me)
I hope this is our month...uh...cycle for a sticky bean!

Let while we both have a reasonable length cycle and conceive!

I can't get clomid without an FS ref over here tried it! Attempted metformin last year, did not agree with me!

What's your plan for this cycle??

Oh I wish you could handle metformin, it's supposed to do wonders; shorten cycle length and weight loss. How long did you try it? I know it was hell for a couple months, I stuck with it...diarhea and all. Maybe try it again and start slowly and work your way up to the amount your supposed to take.
my plans for this cycle, I have done a lot already, I quit smoking once I received my period, I was on welbutrin to help, It's only been a week, I quit the welbutrin two days ago as I'm trying to do everything I can to prevent another mc, I am going ALL organic this cycle...just bought all natural bar soap and am spending the day turning it into liquid. Starting Paleo, was doing it and working my way up to 100% until I quit smoking, then fell off the wagon when I quit smoking so im getting back on it. I'm going to try this month, on my own of course but I dont have much faith in it happening on its own, I think if I ever expect to conceive then I will need clomid. Whats your plans??

I only managed a couple days, couldn't leave the house! Same with the slow release version, just couldn't hack it! Figured it was useless having a shorter cycle if I wasn't well enough to bd! Lol

Sound like good plans hun! I hope it works! We'll some on the smoking front, my OH quit in sept and hasn't touched them since, other then when we had the cm which is understandable.

I just remembered I have some Agnus castus so I might start that again along wth trying to balance my hormones naturally ~ reduce stress, get plenty of sleep, exercise gently, do some weights, drink more water and then if we don't conceive this cycle I'm gonna but some maca root capsules, read they increase fertility in both men and women and increase libido which is always a bonus! Lol I'm temping too. But main priority is too stay positive about it all! Oh and also push for an FS apt if no luck this cycle, worth a try!

My husband quit as well, just a week ago. i'm hoping it increases sperm count and motility. He doesnt have an extremely low count but doc says it could be better.
You should give metformin another go, really, you should. I couldnt leave the house either, and had to pull over on highway twice but its worth it if it helps our hormones. start out slow, 500mg for a week then 1000mg, and so on until you reach your goal, see if that helps...I took 1500mg right from the beginning and it only took about 2 weeks for severe symptoms to go away and then 2 months for my bowel movement to finally turn solid, the two weeks i could barely stand but after that it was a breeze...and now its as if i dont even take them.

Thing is I wouldn't be able to work ad then I'd probably loose my job, they're pissed with me for having 3days off for a stomach bug! I've thought about taking it along with Imodium to try and counteract it, we'll see how we go this cycle without it.

I've got some vitamin b complex too so I'm gonna start on that

That's a shame your job is so strict. I hope B complex works for you. What CD are you. I'm on CD 11, oh I hope I have a short cycle this month!!!

I've only been there since Jan after being made redundant at Christmas, so they don't really know me, and if they did they'd know i don't have time off just cause I feel like it. In a way I kinda hope they sack me! Wouldn't do anything to make it happen though, I need a job! Lol
