I was hanging out with my pregnant friend who I haven't seen in a few years and I was telling her about our TTC situation. Here's how the convo went:

Friend: My other friend and her hubby were TTC
Me: Oh coolness
Friend: Yeah they did fertility treatments, they didn't work
Me: Oh
Friend: Now they are getting divorced because they kept fighting about not having kids
Me: :saywhat:

It's a sad thing but it happens.

Partner A blames Partner B for not being able to have children. Partner B resents Partner A for being able to have another partner and have a baby.

Lack of communication between them also.

I'm guessing your friend fell pregnant without too much effort and doesn't understand the stress and strain involved. Only reason I can think of for her being so indifferent to her friends feelings.

She probably just wasn't thinking when she said it. But its a sad fact the strain of ttc does split couples esp when one wants to give up but the other wants to keep trying.

Got a mate just like that, my advice is don't bother bringing it up with her. My mate isn't preggers tho, just a d*ckhead! :hugs:

Hiswillbedone, I hope you were able to offer some empathy. It's traumatic enough to go through infertility, even worse to loose your OH because of it.
