My friend had a third degree tear with her first and second time around met with a consultant and decided she wanted c section. I presume it was offered as an option though as medical reason.
I had a bad birth experience first time and I have discussed my severe anxiety concerning that since the first time seeing my midwife and two visits ago she mentioned that induction might be considered but I left to discuss further when my birth plan is done and talked about. X
I know someone who had a terrible time with her son having to be resuscitated at birth. She had elective section for her second. Don't know full story as we are not close friends but I do know she had to fight for it.
This might vary depending on hospital hunni. Reason i say that is that i am aware of ppl who have elected for section due to negative past experiences in the town i used to live in, but my current hospital has actual posters in the antenatal clinic stating that sections won't be approved on non medical grounds and that if ppl have extreme fears of labour or past bad experiences they can arrange counselling thru their midwife. Obviously its worded a bit less bluntly than that but that's basically what it says.
