Unable to give enough notice....

Can anyone help me?

I wrote to my employers at end of nov requesting part time hrs to start when i return to work in feb, but its took numberous emails and phonecalls from end of nov to last wed (18thJan) to get in to see them to discuss it. It was only then I was told no due to the way the business runs ( Its account managing on a daily basis!) - fair enough..
They told me I had 14 days to decide what to do, I have now decided not to return to work - it wont financially benefit me. However I am due to return in just over a weeks time but I am ment to give 4 weeks notice...

What can I do??

You'll have accrued annual leave when you were off, can you not use that? Or they could maybe agree unpaid leave for you.

Best to ring in the HR dept and ask, they may waive it but will probably want you to come in for at least a bit to do a proper handover.

Thanks for your reply...I've sent my notice in, just waiting for then to get back to me. We don't have a hr dept - just someone that's been in the company a few years n was assigned to look after staff!! She is VERY unprofessional!!
