Hi there,

I have just popped over from the assisted conception board but thought there may be some ladies on the LTTTC board who are going through the same thing.

I am currently waiting to have full immune tests at Care Notts after 5 years of TTC. We are classed as unexplained and wondered if there are any other ladies out there that are looking to pursue this route - would be good to share ideas / thoughts!

Kel x

Hi Kel, I had full immunes with Care Notts last year and have since had 2 cycles with them and 3 from another clinic in N Ireland - sadly all negative but i think CARE are a great clinic. What consultant are you with? We arent unexplained as we have many problems to overcome before we get the BFP so hopefully you will get there easier than me!

Good luck with whatever you are doing and let me know if i can help in any way xox

Hi Angel,

Thanks for your response. My consultant is Ifana, not sure how long she has been at the clinic for. I start the tests next Monday - not looking forward to all the blood I am going to have to give lol.

Did you have Level 1 & 2s done together? Had you already gone through IVF before tests?

I'm really sorry to hear that you have been unsuccessful so far- I hope the clinic is able to sort something for you so you get a BFP soon :hugs:

I havent come across Ifana - im with Mr Dowell who is really nice but then i find everyone there pleasant.

I had already had 3 rounds of IFV at another clinic before immunes. I see that you had a round previously - was that also with Care?

I had all the tests done on the same day - something like 21 or 22 little vials. A few have to be done fasting and i nearly fainted during those but after a chocci bar i was able to do the rest!

We have been really pleased with the service so far. We had our first IVF cycle with Care Notts in Jan this year. Given we have been TTC for the past 5 years we decided we would do the immune tests before we cycled again. I couldn't put myself through another cycle as my gut instinct is telling me that something is wrong. Our cycle went well - it just appears that we are not getting fertilisation. Hoping to get the full picture so we know what we are dealing with by having all of the tests.

I have got to go up on different days next week for the tests, Monday for Level 2s, Wed for hysterosocopy & again Thurs for Level 1s. I think it is because the level 2s get sent to the USA. I hate having blood taken but it's a case of needs must - this is for my own sanity!
