Hey
This is my first time posting, and I had a few questions.
I've been trying to get pregnant for about almost 2 years now. Its been about a year since my miscarriage. It's been a log roliar coaster of emotions. Last month i thought that maybe i was pregnant but my period came, do thst now brings me to noe. I have some test results that I've never seen on the clearblue digital advanced ovulation predictors before. My period started March 7 2016 and so that puts me at day 7 of cycle. I decided to start testing a few days early just because, so I tested today and got a solid smile.... has anyone else gotten a solid smile ss their first test result? If so was that actually when u were ovulation? Or were you already pregnant and just didn't know yet?

Thanks for your help

It is important to remember there is no such thing as an "ovulation test". You are taking an LH test which "predicts" impending ovulation. The tricky thing is that you can get multiple lh surges in a cycle. Your body may gear up to ovulate, turn an OPK positive and then change its mind and then start the process over again and actually ovulate. Or you can have one or multiple surges and not ovulate at all. I was turning OPKs positive left and right 5 months back and not even ovulating. I only knew I wasn't ovulating because I was temping. I would highly recommend temping (if you do not temp already) to pin point ovulation. Also, OPKs will detect pregnancy but only after a positive pregnancy test. I recommend you keep on testing with your OPKs to make sure that you are not getting multiple surges. Also, if possible, have sex every other day between now and the start of your period so you know you hit your fertile window.

I am so sorry for your loss by the way. Are you seeing a fertility specialist? You will find on this board most women recommend seeing a specialist after trying for 12 months with no success.

I recommend reading through various threads on this board, you will definitely learn a lot!
