I'm having the same problem, i don't want a name for our lil girl thats too common but can't find any unusual ones that i like :shurg: it's so hard deciding. x
My daughter is Shani (pronounced Shaynee), it means marvellous in Swahili and red or crimson in sanskrit. My friend is called Gifty, which i believe came from her mum when she was travelling in Africa. Heard of very few Shani's and only one Gifty! Good luck finding your unusual name. xx
I love Anya too... it's one that I keep forgetting about though.
I really like Arlo and Loki for a boy.
For girls, Kyla, Calliope, Calypso...
Actually, I have heaps. Good luck! I hope you find the name that works for you.
My grandmother was the queen of unique names. My mothers name is Ianna (like Dianna without the D" I have an aunt Tonda, and an uncle Asa. I love unique names, we are planning on going with Brave if its a boy.
I love unusual names but I'm a bit afraid that my ideas are too unusual and might sound weird.
My current favourites are: Chaim David for a boy and Tinuviel for a girl. But I still have time to think this over *g*
