My LO is 6 weeks old and currently takes five 5oz bottles a day at 6/7am 11am 3pm 7pm & 9pm (roughly) and she then sleeps from around 10 till 6/7am.

What i want to know is when i should up her feed to 6oz she drains all of her bottles at the minute and continues sucking air if i don't catch her quick enough! but she never cries for more, wants another feed sooner (except for last feed) and isnt fussy etc.

So do i leave her on 5oz and wait till she starts fussing for more at each feed or up to 6oz now?? I'm pretty sure she'd take more but don't know if she's just being greedy as she's not crying/fussing for it IYKWIM.
:help:

Once my LO started draining bottles (more than 2 in a row), I always upped them to the next amount. More for my peace of mind, really. Sometimes she'd leave an ounce in the bottle, sometimes half an ounce, or anywhere inbetween. I felt that at least I knew she'd had the chance to take as much as she needed :)

Your LO won't take more than she needs, so if I were in your shoes, I'd up her bottles and see how she gets on :)

Thanks :flower:, i'll try her on 6oz when i make her bottles tonight & see how we get on.
