This story was in my local paper yesterday and I'm terrified that it will happen to me. I really want an elective section this time due to a difficult labour with my first, but my midwife says I'll have a battle on my hands with the consultant. I really feel for the parents of this gorgeous little man, to think it could have been prevented so easily.

How awful! No amount of apologies will undo the damages done to that poor boy's brain. I'm surprised the mother's concerns were dismissed especially given her history with the previous pregnancy.

I never knew women would be refused a section if they wanted one. So why do I keep hearing accusations that doctors are always so eager to perform unnecessary C-sections??

that is just appalling
how cruel as well when a woman is screaming for a C-section and they just blatantly refuse? and now her poor wee boy pays the price for their negligence??
