It has been months since I have posted anything on these boards. I feel like I have been neglectful since there are has been a lot of fertility stuff happening with me.

I started 50 mg of clomid in December and in January started a timed cycle where I had to have ultrasounds every day until ovulation was confirmed. I didn't ovulate that cycle until about day 20 and got my period on day 29. Since I wasn't ovulating any earlier on 50 mg clomid, my dosage was upped to 100mg and I did another timed cycle in march. I ovulated on day 14 that cycle but got my period on day 25. Since the clomid was working my FS wanted to do a uterine biopsy to determine if I have a lining probem. My FS suspected that I might since even when I ovulated earlier I was still getting my period about 9-10 later. I had the biopsy done on day 21 in early April. It took 3 weeks for the results to come but they finally did and the test confirmed that I have a "immature" lining. I am now on 200mg of progesterone suppositories twice a day to plump up my lining.

I am feeling relieved that they have found a problem and that I have started meds to try and fix it. I hope that it has just been a lining problem all along and with a little bit of help my lining will be plump and juicy for a little bean to stick to it!

Anyone else have a lining problem?

From my own research (my RE doesn't seem concerned) my uterine lining is on the thin side. After each of my last 3 IUI's (all BFN) I've taken 100 mg progesterone suppositories twice a day.

I was told that I might have polypoid endometrium, but hysteroscopy did not confirm it. just in case they took a piece for biopsy so am now waiting for the results.

I wonder if they suspected that there might be something wrong with your lining before the biopsy results came through? what is "immature" lining exactly?

My FS did suspect that I had a lining problem which is why he wanted to do the biopsy. Before I started any medication I was ovulating around day 20-21 and would get my period in day 29-30 so that meant my luteal phase was only about 9 days which is on the short side. When I started the 100 mg dose of clomid it moved by ov to day 14-15 which was great but then I would get my period around day 25 so my luteal phase was still short. Since my luteal phase was short but my natural progesterone levels were in the normal range my FS suspected a lining problem. The biopsy was done on 7dpo but the results indicated the my lining was only measuring 3-4dpo. That is what my FS meant by immature lining. Basically it is too thin for an fertilized egg to implant in.

I have always had shorter periods ( 5 days max but the 4th and 5th day would be more like spotting and I barely had to even use any pad/tampon) that were on the lighter side so this all makes so much sense now.

I am using progesterone suppositories as progesterone is supposed to help thicken up the uterine lining. I really hope it works!

I also have a thin lining and a short luteal phase. They did not do a biopsy, but put me on 200mg of progesterone suppositories twice a day after ovulation. It increased my luteal phase. I would be cautious of Clomid though because it thins the lining. I heard that baby aspirin and soaking your feet in hot water helps thicken the lining so I tried it and my lining went from 5mm at ovulation to 7mm after one month. I'm on my second month of baby aspirin and feet soaking and will be going in on Monday for an ultrasound. I'm hoping my lining will be even thicker.

Btw, I am also from Ontario, Canada.

Hmm. This is interesting. I have wondered if my lining was too thin. My dr wasn't concerned. I have only recently started charting, and last cycle was my first complete one, which showed an LP of 11 days. My periods are always pretty light, with mostly spotting and 1-2 days of actual flow. I am 3 1/2 years ttc. Approaching 33. Want a baby. NOW.
I am taking baby aspirin, vitex, flax oil, b6, folic acid, red raspberry, and bladderwrack this cycle. I am also taking evening primrose oil until o, and I have some progesterone cream for post o. we'll see what happens. Last time I used the progesterone cream I got a BFP, sadly it was a chemical. It also through my cycles way out of whack, but I'm willing to try again.

I might wait on the progesterone cream this cycle. I want another full chart of temps to see if they are going high enough. If they remain low, then I will supplement.
Good luck ladies!
