Hello ladies I hope you are all well and Happy New Year.

I have just been to see my consultant today and was expecting to get a date for my elected c section.

Long story short I ended up having a traumatic emergency c section 8 years ago with my son and was advised by the surgeon at the time that I would need an elective c section for any future children (mainly as my baby was big and I was too small to deliver him).

However, after saying all this to my consultant he said he was 80% sure I would have a vaginal delivery with this one! Well i nearly hyperventilated on the spot!!

I would love to hear about anyone who has had a VBAC and are they glad they had it or not.

Thank you xx

I was told the same about my 1st, he was 6lbs 12 oz, after 56 hrs of labour and 3 more hrs of pushing, the surgen came in and said hes too big. So I ended up crushed, with a c-section.

Baby #2, I refused to go for a c-sec without doing everything in my power to deliver naturally. I did prenatal yoga, hypnosis, and went to the gym 3 times a week. After a 14 hr labour, and I was pushing, the same surgen came in and said, ' Oh I remember you, you're trying this again? Don't you remember how this ended last time?' Gave me all that more strength to push harder, as I said "ya, who could forget,.. Im going for a different ending this time" He gave me the most odd look lol, and I pushed her out almost in his face. She weighed only 6 lbs .25oz, but her head was the same size as my 1st so I dont get it. I blame it on it being a friday, and the dr just wanted to go home.

My 3rd baby, another succesful vbac, weighed 7 lbs 9 oz. His head was 110%! I am now pg with my 6th baby, and going for vbac #5. So it IS possible!!

I also believe, as my doula told me, your body wont make a baby too big for your body to deliver. Just keep that in your mind. If you believe it, so will your body :D

Best of luck to you!! xxx
