Last month my period arrived a week late (7days) during this time I took 5 or so home tests, one had a faint positive. When my period finally showed, it was completely unusual compared to my normal periods, the flow started off very and for the first time since my baby (11 months now) was born I had some cramping. It did last my normal 5days.
Now, this month I am 5days late (it was due to arrive on the 13th). My husband and I have not had sex at all since the end of January. And to be quite honest, I have been overly emotional this past few weeks. Also there are few other odd things I am noticing about myself. Emotionalness, random bouts of nausea, hair is thicker and easier to tangle, always hungry or never hungry, I am producing more milk than usual (because I am breastfeeding), and a few other things.

I was originally blaming stress. But to be honest, I live a stressful life. And have so since I was 17, when my mother was diagnosed with terminal illness. And since have undergone MANY more stressful thing in my life than the mundane tasks I perform nowadays. And AF was ALWAYS on time, ALWAYS dependable.

That being said, I have No idea what is going on. and I don't know if I should be worried or not.

It's so hard to say for sure hun- odds are, all is fine and your body is just acting strange? IDK- I remember some messed up stuff happening after LO was born. Times I thought I was prego- but neg tests- times I went for months with NO periods at all-- times it came on like an evil witch! ack. It can take up to a year for our bodies to get back to "normal" whatever that means for you. But you're almost at a year... I know my AF has for sure been different since LO was born. Where as before it was very consistent.

I'd say- you know your body best. If you have any concerns, it certainly cannot hurt to see your OB and get a quick checkup. Most likely it's just one of those things. But at least it would put your mind at ease :hugs:

I would go get some blood work done. Maybe you have under or over active thyroid? I has so many symptoms when I was 35 ( I am 44 now) blamed on depression , but it wasn't that, it was my thyroid.. Not saying you have that, but having some bloods drawn wouldn't hurt.. I know my periods are constantly changing, I really wouldn't worry to much over that..I went from every 36 days to 30 days to 28 days to 24 days ..It is constantly changing as you get older and also after having kids.. Hope you find some answers, i am sure you are fine..:hugs::hugs:

UPDATE!

My period started today. 7days late. Just like last month.

I had contacted my doctor via my "Patient portal" and I got a response (I am guessing by a nurse) saying I should come in on a visit when my doctor gets back on the 30th. I think I way set up an appointment on Monday.

To me, I am still a bit confused and concerned, 7 days is a pretty specific amount of time.
