Very confused.

Okay so my period was 8 days late, & i assumed it was my period. I knew it wasn't spotting because it was very heavy as usual. i got this "period" a day after mine was expected to end. i feel rather normal as usual, i usually have tender breasts. but other than that, I'm fine. & my breasts only hurt if I'm doing jumping jacks, and stuff of that sort. could this be vaginal bleeding or my period? Also, i did have protected intercourse where we checked for no holes(there weren't any) on the 21st of November.
