Very heavy bleeding (possible anovulatory cycle) Please help

Hi,

I have PCOS and do not get periods normally especially if I am not eating right and working out.

I have not had a period in months. I possibly ovulated, who knows. Anyway, I am on CD 4 of a very, very heavy cycle.

1 day - moderate
2 day - extremely heavy, bleeding though super tampons every 2 hours. Big clots
3 day - same, smaller clots
4 day - same no clots
Going into day 5 and it does not seem to be slowing down.


Does anyone have a heavy period like this? I really need reassurance. I hate this PCOS disorder. Very down at the moment.

I really miss when this site had a bunch of people on it and we would all give tons of feedback. What happened? I sure hope it goes back to normal.

Anyway, the bleeding finally seems to be slowing down thank goodness. Regular things like periods can be very confusing for PCOS women because sometimes we bleed for weeks or months at a time. Never really know when that is going to happen.

I don't know much about PCOS but could it be heavy because it's been the first one in a while? Does it work like that? Could be a hormonal imbalance with the condition?
Have you been checked for fibroids/polyps..those things can also cause heavy bleeding.

I hope you get some answers..have you asked the doctor?
