Just found out my AMH is 0.5 pg/ml (on the range where low is 3-21, satifactory is 21-40 and optimum is 41-60) ..... i'm gutted. Just over 18mns ago it was 20. Just feel like the mountain just got a million times higher to climb and not sure what to do or think next....

MInd me asking whats AMH? I know how hard it is to get any bad news seeing I've had my fair share. And I know nothig that is said will help to make u feel better!!! All I can say is that crying, screaming and feeling frustrated and feeling that everything is totaly unfair is ok!!! You have every right to feel that way!!!! But at least you are getting answers!!! I know it's not the answers we want or like to hear, but I definitley perfer to get answers than them telling me it's unexplained or not knowing what's going on!!!

Sorry for the bad news! I hope you feel better soon!!!!

Hula please do not give up I have been on here for a little while now and friends with a lady in the US who I am sure had a very similar result to you yet she did not feel ready to go ahead with IVF right away. She left it a couple of months and then she was going to head to the clinic to get things started. Well unknown to her she fell pregnant naturally that month and is now 20 weeks pregnant. Good things do happen when you least expect them to and I really hope this is the same for you.

Never give up on your dream, I am about to head into first IVF cycle and have been told that my AMH result is low even for a 37 year old but I have to believe that I will be one of the small percentage that hits the jackpot and gets a BFP and so do you.

Take care :hugs:

Thanks caroleb73 and PR&TR13 for you kind words and support. I was really devastated last night but have picked myself up today and feel a little better.

Like your friend carole i really was feeling unsure about IVF and it was something I really hoped not to have to resort to (since at 35 i felt like maybe i still had some time to do it naturally or with minimal assistance) and now suddenly it's like 'if you ever want to do it then you really need to think about it now'. My dh is great and will support whatever route I want to take. We've booked an appointment next month with the Lister in London to get more advice and day 3 bloods/another scan.

I really really hope you IVF cycle is sucessfull and you both get your BFP very soon.

mine AMH is 3, so in a very similar position to you. My consultant said there is very little point trying IVF with my own eggs....this means I'm on a waiting list for donor eggs.
In the meantime, we are trying for a 'free' one, and saving like mad cuz I'm not overly hopeful.
