Very painful period after clomid...

I've never had PMS cramps, and had random cramps/pains in my lower right side from a week after ovulating. I also had some nipple discharge and nausea. Thought for sure I was pregnant, but alas...
I had my first cycle of clomid last month, and then had these symptoms. To add to it, I had a very painful period. I had cramps unlike I've ever had before, to the point of where it would stop me mid-sentence and have me wincing. Usually they're just mildly uncomfortable.
Do you think it's possible this was the first time I properly ovulated? Or was it just exacerbated by the raised hormones from the clomid?

My first period after clomid was pretty damn heavy and painful and I chalked it up to the fact that I had finally ovulated for the first time in years.

So yea this was probably your first time ov'ing in a long time hence the pain.

Good 'ol Google told me I'm far from the only one to have experienced this. But oh well. If it does its job, i'd take ten times the pain, just for the ability to carry one baby.

i believe its due to the fact that you hadnt ovulated on a while as well
