What are your thoughts on the name BAXEN ..

Basically, I lost my mum to breast cancer 5yrs ago. She was only 47 and my best friend. I've always wanted to incorporate her into the names of my babies but it's been too hard with boys. I feel like I'm carrying another boy so looking for alternatives instead of using her actual name (Christine) I don't like Christopher or Christian. We scattered her ashes at a place called Ingleton falls, her favourite place and when I have looked one of the trails is called baxenghyll and it drew me in. Is it too unusual? If so do you have any ideas xx

I don't mind it and if it means something to you then great, I personally would prefer a stronger and more obvious connection but maybe it does resonate strongly with you. What was her maiden name may I ask?

Thanks for your reply take2. Her maiden name was Dubery. I would like something a bit more obviously connected but just can't come up with anything x

Hmm can't really use Duberry, Carsten is another male variant of Christine? Where was your mum born?

You could use Duberry as a middle name tho. What was her fathers name? Were they close?

Baxen is cute!

What about
Tristen/Tristin - that would be the middle of your mums name?

Christiano - a big name in football though?

Aubrey - a varient of her last name ?

Chad - ch from Christine D from d duberry

Eris - (I know a boy with this name) e from the sound in your mums name and ris from the Middle letters ?

Harris - again the ris sound ?

Hope this helps boys names are a struggle xxx

Maybe Baxen as a middle name? I do quite like it but I think maybe it's a bit too unusual compared to his siblings names? X

I like it, but think Baxten or Baxter would be cuter and go better with his brothers names.

I like the idea of Tristan too. Sebastian/Bastian also comes to mind.
Rhys/Reese is another option...

There are some fab suggestions there thanks so much! Keep them coming but definitely some more to look into there you have fab imaginations x

Love Baxen. So different. Really sorry to hear about your mother.

I am not very keen on Baxen, to be honest. Did your mom have a nick name? Favorite book? Favorite character? or Actor? Anything that would still be meaningful because it was something to do with your mother?

I do understand though the reason.
My mother is terminally ill. So I have named my first daughter in honor of her. My daughter's first name is Athiliya - based off the biblical name Athaliah - which was her first choice of a name for me, before settling on my birth name.
And her Middle is Rose - which on top of being both mine and my mother's favorite flower, it is her nick name.

I quite like Baxen, but I really love Tristan.....I am sure you mum would be honored you thought to incorporate her name in some way :)
