This is probably such an odd question but did those if u who have had at least 2 kids (losses included), did they happen to show up on/around the same day of the week? I was thinking about this earlier and realized that my kids love weekends (which is a really good thing for us bc we have no family and friends around to help w birth and PP and such so its less time DH has to take off work, which is important since we r a one income family).
Anyways, DS1 arrived on a Saturday w a three day weekend (Labor Day weekend, how ironic). DS2 started labor on a Saturday morning and arrived Sunday afternoon. Even the baby we MCed arrived on a Saturday. ...secretly hoping the same happens this time but obviously won't be putting much stalk into that, but did think it was intriguing.

1st - labour started Saturday night, finally arrived Monday lunchtime (I missed lunch....grrrr! lol)

2nd - Had sweep on the Saturday morning, finally arrived Sunday morning early hours (still got forgotten about and didn't get breakfast....again grrrr! lol)

Mine seem to like starting on Saturdays!?

I'm pretty certain that I'll have some kind of intervention this time (kind of resigned to it) so who knows....given the reports in the papers yesterday I'm hoping for a Monday - it was reported that in the UK there was an 82% higher liklihood of death or complication following surgery if you have it on a weekend comparted to a Monday!

Baby #1 Early labor contractions started on Thursday late night born Saturday evening (7:19 pm)

Baby #2 Water broke Friday morning, baby born early Sunday morning (3:05 am)

Baby #3 Just starting to feel a change in ctx from prodromal to official cramping and aching and it's Thursday morning. Looks like this one will come on the weekend as well.

Our bodies birth when they feel safest, nested, and most appropriately supported. I guess for me, that's on the weekends when I know hubby doesn't have to take time off work and the other girls are home to be a part of labor and birth.

My two boys were both born on Saturday mornings at 9.01!
I expected my daughter to do the same, but she arrived on a Wednesday at 01.35.

1st (loss) was a Friday
DS was born on Friday, I went into labour (induced) at about midnight on the Thursday/Friday
DD (non induced) was born on Thursday, I started contracting on Wednesday night and she was born at 1.39pm.

hmmm. A was born on a Tuesday and P on a Monday. But Alex was born 8 minutes after midnight so he was almost a monday...........! lol

not mine my first i was induced on a wednesday and he was born thursday my second i was induced on a saterday he was born on sunday

Let's see...

1. Wednesday
2. Tuesday (induced)
3. Monday (induced)
4. Sunday
5. Wednesday
6. Sunday
7. Monday
8. Tuesday
9. Tuesday

So that's 3 Tuesdays (but one was not spontaneous), 2 Wednesdays, 2 Sundays, and 2 Mondays (but one was not spontaneous). I guess I favor the early part of the week. LOL

Both of mine were born on Sunday, both at 39 weeks exactly as wellxx

This is very interesting!
I really do think mom plays a small role in the onset of labor. This really seems to bring that out. Obviously babies have agendas of their own, but there does seem to be a mommy element. Interesting that so many of us birth on/near the weekend! Makes total sense though!

First - labour started Tuesday morning, she arrived Tuesday afternoon.

Second - labour started Saturday morning, arrived Saturday morning.

Third - labour started Wednesday morning, arrived Wednesday morning.

Mine weren't exactly centred around the weekend, but for us weekend is work time for OH. Similarities between mine were that each one I woke up in labour, delivered the same day, and waters never went till right before the head.
