Hi I have been looking at the tomy digital dect video plus monitor as i really fancy a video monitor this time round. Does anyone have any comments on these? also ive looked but cant seem to find any video monitors with that breathing pad thing. I know im sounding dumb and u wouldn't believe its my 3rd time round but god how things have changed!!!

A friend of mine has a video monitor. The picture is sooo small and difficult to see.
we have decided that it is cheaper to buy a cheap low light webcam and hook it up to the TV's in the house.

I bought a day and night video monitor with auto night vision made by 'summer' its the best one I've seen as the display is an actually mini tv rather than the usual little hand held thing that most of them have!

Hi cannotwait........for my first child we bought a video monitor - forget the name ...but it looks like a mini tv and it has night vision also....otherwise its black and white!

anyway I would highly recommend it (really wish I could check the name for you! aaarrrggg - but am not at home at the minute!!)

We've found it invaluable....for me it makes all the difference to be able to "see" LO as opposed to hearing.... we still use it and he's coming 4  my partner thinks Im crazy Lol but I still love having it on after he's put to bed - your not glued to it or anything but if you hear a thud you can see its that hes fallen out of bed! anyway when baby no2 comes along we'll just move it to his/her bedroom and use the same monitor again!

i was getting a vidio moniter then someone but me off by saying people can hack into them and might beable 2 watch your baby. so i didnt bother it scaired th life out of me. now ive later been told that it cant happen it did with the verry early older ones but thats all been sorted now or somthing silly people scairing me lol.

we eneded up buying the tomy didigital pluss instead they r fab would recomend them if u just get normal ones xx

i have one of these also and would highly recommend one, only down side if DH is using his laptop and wireless internet it can cause some interferrence.

Ah yes, I plugged mine in the other day to try it out. I cant use it on band A as it stops my wireless internet working, but its fine on band B and C. But my wireless PS3 controllers make the picture go jumpy on all 3 bands, so PS3 will be banned while LO is sleeping! :haha:

i had this one too and loved it for the 2 weeks i used it until it fell off the table and the blooming screen wont work now.

we have one by summer, i dont think i would cope well without it lol, it just gives me the reassurance i need by been able to see her! :)

We have this Lindam one and I love it. It is one of the best things we bought as I feel so reassured with it. It is in colour and also has night vision and you can even play music into the baby's room with it to settle them.
