Hello.

Looking for suggestions for our little man. We already have a daughter called Evelyn Rose (Evie/Eve) and hubby insists it needs to be a name we can shorten to a cutesy nickname and he doesnt like anything too different or unique.

Middle name will likely be John.

Some names we like but can't use due to family are:

Oliver (Ollie)
Charles (Charlie)
Frederick (Freddie)
Archer (Archie)

(Hmm side note, im sensing we gravitate towards nicknames that end in ie 😂)

Ive also suggested Theodore (theo), Thomas (Tommy), Oscar (Ossie) and Jasper but he hasn't liked any.

He also is super unhelpful and can't give me another suggestion he does like!

We have an Oscar, who gets ocka as that's what he called himself when he was little.

And a Joseph, who will get Joe, joey or roo

Your name list is fairly similar to mine (or would be if my siblings hadn't already used half the names!). I even have an Evelyn (Evie) already too!

Ollie, Charlie and Thomas are already used. I used to look after an Archie and can't bear using that. My brothers dog was Jasper so that's written off too.

Thanks to some lovely ladies on here I'm adding Theo, Fraser and Fletcher.

Other ideas:
William / will, billy, Liam
Alfred / Alfie, Freddie
Albert / albie, Bertie
Felix
Benjamin / benji
Henry.

I really like Ernest with Ernie for short x

Jacob - Jake
Harold - Harry

Or for really vintage, maybe
Bertram - Bertie
Reginald - Regie
Archibald - Archie

And maybe a bit out there but love the nickname:

I am so stuck here. I have a William, Alexander and Myles. I need one more boys name. Was poking here for ideas.

Rupert - Roo is our favourite at the moment!

Some other names I don't think have been mentioned:

Edmund - Eddie
Vincent - Vinnie
Maxwell - Max
Wilfred - Wilf
Stanley - Stan
Barnaby - Barney
William - Billy
Benedict - Ben
Franklin - Frankie

I like old fashioned traditional boys names that make them sound like little old men lol. We have Jack, Frederick (Freddie) and Arthur

I also liked

Albert (Albie) - this was a very close second for Arthur
Henry
Tobias (Toby)
George
Benjamin (Benji)

Other names I can think are

Rufus (Roo)
Reuben (Roo)
Jacob (Jake)
Daniel (Danny)
Thomas (Tommy)
Maximilian (Max)
