Hello, I have a few spare moments, so thought I would quickly write something up before I forget it all! I now have severe baby brain

Violet was born 8-9-10 and was born by cesarean, I went for a 4.30 appointment for a routine check, I had been told all along that baby was going to be small, however when I went in the consultant decided to get this show on the road

I got taken upstairs to a ward and sat there on my own for 2 hours before anyone came to talk to me, I was told about beind induced and that it would take 24hours, so I got a friend to fetch me some clothes over and told my mum not to rush for 40 miles to see me at that moment as it would not be happening till the next day, however they finally came to see me at 7ish, and decided to go ahead with a c-section as baby was small and would not cope well with delivery. They said they would wait 4 hours as i had eaten, so i text my mum to let her know the crack, then just as i had done that the surgeon came through and said, lets do it now, so i got ready was signing forms, getting naked and having my pubes shaved and headed into surgery.

4hours after my appointment, violet was in my arms, she was so tiny and didnt have much fat on her, but was perfect in every way. mum arrived just as i got out of surgery and they only let her stay 10 mins and then she had to go

Im so glad that i went through all of this, she is now 7 weeks old and is lovely and chubby and the most amazing little girl ever (to me)

They didnt really say why, just that she was an iugr (intrauterine growth restricted baby) and would grow out better than in at 38 weeks. Mostly though she is just petite, she didnt have much fat on her, just skin, but she soon filled it and has always been noted as being a very bright, alert and active baby. Hoenestly she is perfect, i would say that as her mum, but she is and people worry about haveing small babies, but its fine
I am pretty petite myself though
good things come in small packages
