I have never given my children any sort of vitamins, but I am starting to think my youngest two (especially Ella) would maybe benefit from them.
Twice in the same number of weeks she has been ill. Not sick, or a tummy bug or anything, but just a virus (Im guessing, I haven't taken her to the docs) and the last couple of days she has been floored, not eating, lethargic, slight fever, sore throat. Her eating is absolutely appalling so her immune system is probably really terrible.

Any recommendations for a good multi vitamin for a 3yr old?

We started giving vitamins to our boys last year when Sebastian was losing so much weight from not eating anything. So we chose one that has iron in it too. They like the flavour and ask for their vitamins if I forget.

Thanks, I was thinking the chewable ones would probably be the best received. Do you think they will be okay for Hannah too? (I'm assuming they are 3+ because of choking hazard rather than what is actually inside them)

She hasn't lost any weight, but is a very slow grower. I just feel like she needs a boost. She doesn't eat any sort of meat. Won't go near any vegetables. Doesn't like bread/toast, or even pizza! She lives off of macaroni, potato scones, bagels with cream cheese, crisps and a few fruits.

Yeah they are from 3 on, so I am not too sure for Hannah. We had some Sure Start vitmain droplets from the Health Visitors (for free!) before then, that we mixed into their sippies. Maybe ask if your centre will give you some too?

We've tried loads of different ones for ds1, he didn't like sainsburys ones as they were green and he thought he'd turn into the hulk :haha: mine actually prefer the harder ones as opposed to the chewy ones so it's probably down to whatever you can get them to eat

I give mine whichever is on offer! They always go down well as they think it's a sweet

I give my son Abidec and have done for around 18 months due to constantly picking up viral infections from nursery. Its normally on offer and it's lemon flavoured.

We use Bassetts strawberry liquid, but they do chewables too, which are actually really nice (I used to take them myself lol). We did try an orange liquid one with iron but she absolutely hated it, and when I tried it, it was obvious why - it tasted strongly of blood! Disgusting!

I'm just about to start the Bassets strawberry liquid with him. I bought the chewables but then noticed they're 3 plus so I'm taking them myself and they're delish :haha:

Haha yeah they are. :D They enjoy the strawberry liquid too - it's sweet and Calpol-like, so I expect Zach will love it like any sane child. :haha:

I give my two the bassets chewy ones which they both like. I know they're 3+ but I give them to my two year old as when I checked the contents it was v similar to the younger ones and I figured since I forget to give them at least twice a week it would even out!

Thanks everyone, will have a look at what's available.
Took her to the doctors yesterday as she still wasn't eating and turns out she has tonsillitis, so ay least I know what is up with her. She is definitely over the worst of it so hopefully don't need to start any antibiotics and she will be right as rain soon

I give vitamins when I remember :dohh: he currently has mr men chewable ones

My older two have Bassets chewables; DS doesn't need them as he eats well and has a varied and balanced diet, but DD1 isn't a great eater and although she gets her 5 a day she doesn't eat much iron rich food and isn't getting enough of some vitamins from her diet alone. She's been having the Bassets chewables since she was 2.5, on the advice of our GP as she wouldn't take any other vitamins. DD2 we're still trying to find a vitamin for; she hates all the drops and liquids we've tried and is too little to have chewables.
