Vitex and low post O bbt

Has anyone experienced low bbt with vitex? I was taking 650 from start of AF till CD8. Took it down to 325 due to migraines. I also quit another supplement that might have been causing them as well. No more migraines.

However, I noticed my temps were so low and erratic. Like 96.3 instead of my usual 97.4. Even now after the intense O pain my temp is going down instead of up. I had a late night with allergies but nothing out of the ordinary for me.

My chart looks annovulatory unfortunately. I wont take any progesterone but will finish Vitex until AF. What a total kill joy. Then again I havent been on Vitex that long. Only took it to raise P level after O. But dang...my post O temps befor vitex at least climbed.

Any thoughts or same/similar experiences? Anyone get bfp off a crapy start like my chart hahahaha..TIA

@FTale I haven't used vitex though i was considering trying it to lengthen my Luteal Phase. Sorry to hear it's not helping for you! How are your temps looking now?

Have you been evaulated by a doc yet? Any known reason for short LP?

I have progesterone issues so I guess the issues is more with the state of my ovaries which I am working on with other supplements. I was just hoping Vitex would cause a stronger ovulation but I didn't take the full dose so maybe thats why? Who knows. I am going to keep taking the 1 pill a day till I get AF then doubt I will try again.

My temps are hilarious...lol..the worse I have had ever. I posted a pic below. I am just waiting this out will keep bbting in the morning. I am hoping the progest cream keeps me going until at least 13dpo. Hate when it stops at 11. It used to be that way when I was younger. Ovulation on cd 16 to 18 then a 10 or 11 day lp. Now I O on cd12 usually and start AF about 15 dpo until last few months it has been 13dpo that AF shows.

Do you have regular cycles?

Ftale, I didn't have any issues with my post O temps while taking vitex to conceive my 1st and 2nd.

Yes I have regular cycles, 23-26 days total. My LP ranges from 8-11 days long. I have been to my doctor and she said short LP is "normal" for my short cycle length. When I wasn't happy with that she gave me a fertility hormones test form for the beginning of my next cycle. That all came back normal but I haven't been tested for progesterone levels.

I currently take blackmores prenatals, vitamin B complex and vitamin C to help my LP and iron because that was low on my blood test.

Your temps look really frustrating! Also it's strange you got 3 positive OPKs 3 days in a row! Thats a big LH surge! Were all of them darker than control line? I've only ever had 1 day with positive with usually a close to positive the day before it.

Got a bfp on frer then took another from the same box with the same urine and bfn. My heart fell on the floor. I wish I hadnt bought them just kept using internet cheapies till af or real bfp.

I will keep taking everything and then stop vitex after af starts on 15dpo.

That's so frustrating getting 2 different results with your tests in the same sample!

How are you going? Have you taken any more tests? The lots of dark days may have been a good thing? Strong LH surge maybe?

I got my crosshairs today so should have O'd on Friday, it was a late one for me at CD17, (I usually O around CD 14/15) but happy that it finally came because I was starting to get a bit worried

Hope you had a good O. I use to O that late and have super show LPs. How are you doing?

I am on CD6 I think. Chilling out with all that's going on. I already have so many other dealings to work around. Infertility just stresses me out. Best to put it on the back burner for now. Me being pregnant during a health crisis is not a good thing. I would need a cerclage put in on my cervix, then I would need it removed before delivering. No telling what state the health care system will be like if I got pregnant and needed emergency care. Not being paranoid but realistic. So I have to honestly look away for the next 3 months while we pray and try our hardest to stear clear of getting ill. Sure does change things.

And don't laugh, I am sitting here at 5dpo wondering if I could be preggo. I do not think I O right anymore. I think I am hitting menopause. It will be what it will be but if God says you are preggo, then well heck yeah I will take it but. Everything right now is the wrong time but this lends sense to there is no such thing as the right time. I feel insane though. This is some kind of addiction at this point when you knowing keep on ttcing when faced with an world health crisis. Like me trying to go on a diet but I keep stuffing the fries in my mouth making any pushes completely void...lol

I am no alone though. Many of us are still at it. Cautiously with hope for a healthy future of course.

Anyway I am rambling, I hope everyone out there in the TTC world is doing fab.

Bev my reply was so incoherent...LOL..I tried to read it and could not underdstand it at all.
Thank you for writing back. I don't really post on boards anymore. I feel weird after trying for so long and just not catching the eggo. But as I type to you my left bb is hurting so bad. Started early in the morning and is continuing like its on a pump that sends nothing but misery to it.

YET, if it means I am starting my early pregnancy signs, I will take it. But dang it hurts. I don't get sore bbs like this prior to AF. And I have always taken some type of progesterone prior to AF to help sustain a pregnancy. Currently I take 1 tsp of progest at night and have been since 3dpo I am 6dpo now. If its the cream, I guess it is working like never before.

I promise to come back and post when I test. I can't believe you have been on these boards for so long. Thank you for providing support to everyone.

How are you feeling? Did you suffer from early bbs pain? If its just hormonal, Ill scream. Its for sure dif for me. No nip pain. And I just had the shooting pain that went down to my under arm side of boobish...rofl.

I am so afraid its not real I have not peed on a stick even. Normally I would be peeing on everything starting today

My boobs only have a soreness to them occasionally but it's never been a big sign for me during pregnancy. I do recall having sharp shooting pains from my boobs but can't recall if it was in tww. My nipples were actually something that made me suspect. I'm still breastfeeding and my nipples hurt like when I first started breastfeesing. I don't think they'd have been as bad if I hadn't been breast feeding still

I'm really hoping it's a sign for you and you get your well deserved bfp.

hope all is going well. I am in another cycle mabye cd4?? But taking vitex twice a day totallin 650mg. I decided to just go all out and follow the directions on the bottle.

Taking all my ubiquinol and prenatals along with Fish Oil...lol I'm going to do it 30 days straight pregnant or not.

I'm just curious to see what happens if I take everything like I am suppose to.
The only thing I can't seem to handle is my 6 pill prenatal a day. I think the ingredients are too high. I need the magnesium though but dang..its a serious amount of everything.

Hey ladies!!!

I am 3dpo and super calm. I will try my Proov test in the morning just to peak at what my progesterone levels may or maynot be doing. I am so use to gabbing away on ttc boards but do not have a group I chat with. I feel so alone these last few cycles.

But everything in life is going so good I can't complain. This is the first cycle I am already OK with a bfn. I know I am doing my best. I tell myself while I may still be overweight, I did drop 20lbs this new year and have kept it off. I will drop more starting tomorrow as I toss a lil exercise into my day.

Overall, to see a bfp this cycle would be like having two cherries on top...lol

I think some where on this site I have a journal I have neglected....LOL...I am going to find it and post my pre O days because after O this girl has had no symptoms. I feel completley different than other cycles.

Flueky please let me know how you are doing. 14wks?? Where in the world does the time go????
