Waking up at 3am every morning :-(

Anyone else having trouble sleeping? I'm full of a virus at the minute which includes a stuffy runny nose, chest infection and bad head ache all after a week of suffering with a sickness bug

The lack of sleep is not making me feel much better doesn't matter what time I go to bed or anything, dead on 3am or just before I'm wide awake, can only guess it's pregnancy related,
Takes me ages to get back to sleep too

Sorry you aren't feeling well, but you aren't alone! I wake up every night as well. My problem with waking up at 2:30-3 is that I get up for work at 4:45! It makes the day brutal! I'm exhausted by the time I get to bed but then I'm wide awake a few hours later. Guess we are just going to be extra prepared when baby comes!

Sorry you are sick and aren't getting a good night's sleep. Same thing happens to me but for me its 4ish-5ish. As long as I don't get a thought in my head I can go back to sleep but if i think of something I'm remotely concerned about, I won't be able to go back to sleep.

I constantly wake up through the night because I am thirsty. Now I sleep with water bottles by the bed.

Yep me too! I'm always waking up and I'm so tired in the morning even if I go to bed at 8pm! I hope you feel better soon x

I've never slept the same since my daughter was born. Even though she only ever got up once after 7 weeks old. I always wake up at least once. Usually to go to the bathroom. I sweat at night now so that's bothersome, and I wake 5-10 times a night now. I'm kind of glad because I know I'll have to be getting up in the night soon enough. Might as well be adjusted to it.

I'm up at least once or twice during the night to go to the bathroom. Worst thing is, sometimes I can't get back to bed right away. So I'm left awake for at least an hour before I can fall back asleep :$

I get up at the same times every single night and have done for weeks! It is murder and I often find myself dropping off during the day, even at my work it's a pain
If it's not getting up at every hour it's the nightmares or just general vivid dreams. I can sympathise

Sorry you're not feeling well.... I am also struggling and think I am catching a cold.

I am usually awake at 2 and 4am! Then, my alarm for work goes off at 5am, it stinks!

same here, the worse part is whether I sleep @ 10pm or 8pm its the same thing. 3:30am I'm awake amd struggle to go back to sleep and should prepare myself for work @ 6am. How awful

I'm not sure if any of you are religious (if your not just disregard) but 3am/3pm has historical significance of when Jesus died on the cross.
Jesus appeared to St. faustina and told her to pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet at 3a/3p everyday. You can check out her diary for more or just google Divine Mercy. Maybe it's Gods way of saying something to you.

I'm usually only half awake if I wake then so I just repeat the little prayer thinking of all I can saying Jesus I trust in you and often can quickly fall back asleep.
Just thought I'd mention it. Although it's likely the body's way to prepare us for motherhood...
