hi, ive had 2 previous c sections, first one due to failed induction 2nd one was elective.ive also had a cystectomy due to a large simple cyst that i had to have removed.ive had 2 mcs too  its been 2 yrs 6mths since my last one.but unfortunately iam one of these paranoid people during pregnancy..my full time pregnancies have been relatively problem free, apart from polyhydramnious with my first pregnancy! all these complicated words haha..i worry so much about rupture that iam sure it wouldnt be a good thing..i think also the fact that ive got 3 abdominal scars, and another would make it 4 makes me worry!! will it burst open?? i get huge when pregnant hehe...
any advice would be much appreciated..

The scar is below the bump. It doesnt stretch much.

The only increased risk is if we go into labour and try and give birth, but in fact my doc didn't seem to be at all concerned about anything and I have had 2 sections. I am just making sure I don't travel too near the end so I can be near the hospital to zip in and get a c section if baby tried to arrive early.

i have had 2 and will have another in couple months. scar doesnt stretch as it is below belly and i carry big and low. my second one the cut exactly where the first one was done and expect them to do same with next one. my sil had 5 csects and apart from placenta placement with last one they were all problem free. the docs doing surgeey will let u know when not to have any more pregnancies such as uterus thining or scar tissue. with this pregnancy i am classed as low risk so i see a midwife for my appointments and will only see doc couple times just to talk bout surgery

ill be having my fourth c section and my doc didnt even bat an eyelid about it its been a couple of years since your last one so you would be all healed and everything now x

hi helena are you actually pregnant with ur 3rd now? thanks for your reply

I had my third section just three weeks ago and it was by far the easiest post op and healing wise. I was so worried this last pregnancy due to the neonatal death of my son even though his death had nothing to do with complications during pregnancy. I probably had every fear possible go through my mind. I had to just keep telling myself that everything was going to be okay and to trust in God. Once again I had a very uneventful pregnancy much to my relief. I think you'll do fine hun. I got pregnant within six months after the birth of my son. It's been a couple of years for you. Risk of rupture is so low with that time frame. If you are extremely worried just discuss it with your doctor and I'm sure he'll give you some reassurance. GL!

I am going to have my fourth section in 19 days.i was thinking of going for a fifth but consultant and midwife are adamant that that I should get sterilised this time which I have decided to do. Risk of uterine rupture increases with the more sections you have. With a third pregnancy you will be fine. I had a nice third pregnancy. My midwife sid that I would be really asking for it next time , she said even this time you are at a higher risk. 3 sections are normally recommended, so hopefully you will be ok. i went against their advice this time, I was advised not to go for a fourth. Maybe, I might have gone for a fifth but OH said that it was enough now. i was trying for a little man but its not meant to be. Please don't judge me. its just i wanted to experience having a little boy as well. Best of luck xx

i dont feel any discomfort around the scar at all im always amazed by how quick it heals you would think after three csections my stomach would be a mess but all i got to show for them is one little white scar that my boyfriend took a year to notice lol for the first few months afterward i would get the odd stinging sensation but other than that nothing i do worry that ive had alot of sections but my doctor wasnt worried at all as like you everything was uncomplicated with my previous also it does help alot if you have a couple years gap between sections x

hey miss cakes, thankyou so much for your reply.do i take it your not a worrier like me? i just cant help myself and its awful.it is re assuring reading stories like yours and i really admire you for going along with what you want.thing is i think aswell the fact that ive had 2 previous mcs also a removal of a large cyst play on my mind.i had a medium size cyst with first preg but not the second.and this large one was noticed after my mc scan.
also id had my previous surgeries in the UK but have since moved countries!

hey im more of a secret worrier i pretend im not bothered but really im shaking in my boots lol i wouldnt be too worried if i was you though although its a bit scary being in another country if you know the healthcare system is good your probably get better treatment than you would where u were before anyway if you want another baby then go for it i found my 3rd section by far the easiest one to recover from probably because i was so prepared for it and knew what to expect and what to do in order to get better quicker and you will too sure they say the risks get slightly higher after each section but these days its about as safe as childbirths gonna get theres always risk in anything i suppose.
and im feeling good at the moment im about 6 months along so the tiredness and sickness have gone and im nesting like crazy right now! lol xx

Hiya notpreganant, The date is definitely nearing. Just counting days down. I am very terrified but can't do anything about it. baby needs to come out some way or another. 15 days to go. How are you?

I'm really nervous being pregnant after two c-sections. When my last daughter was born, the doc who did my surgery said that my uterus was so thin she could put her finger right through it. Not good and it has me very concerned about uterine rupture this time around. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that all goes well for me.

Where are you? I had my two c secs in Switzerland and the healthcare is exceptional, I really trust it and had great experiences.
