I have noticed with Mothercare and ELC today are advertising things at "half price" Which I dont believe were ever the full price being shown.

Its called 'price establishing' as they only have to show things at the inflated price in a few stores for 28days 2 times a year. This is how SCS for example always have a 'half price sale'

Just want you ladies to be getting real bargains, not just paying the normal price which is being advertised in my opinion wrongly.

Its like tesco (i work for them) they sell wine at around £6 normally, whack it upto £8 for 21 days then sell it for half price £4. Boggles the mind.

Elc came up on my FB today advertising a dolls house at 'half price' and i was errrr it was the same price 2 weeks ago when i looked at it

I think its a really bad policy and think it should be stopped

I was just about to say I have noticed Tescos doing this with quite a few products lately :growlmad:

im such a bargain hunter some things i just refuse to buy even at half price :dohh:

I really dont think its on. Its tricking people into buy what are expensive toys, thinking they are getting a good deal. When competitors like Asda are offering similar toys for much less.

Elc and toys r us are terrible for this, they have some toys on half price all year round :/ x

I fell into this trap yesterday then.... thought i was getting bargains!!! it shouldnt be allowed!! but i found a code online "STAR" and it gives you 20% off selected stuff, if its "half price" already it doesnt work on those items! xxx
