Just wanted to post because I'm p'd off really and wanted to warn incase anyone else see's this opportunity and thinks it seems good but alarm bells are ringing:
I'm looking for a job at the mo and I applied for 'EVENTS & MARKETING - GRADUATE TRAINING' in Leeds because it seemed like it could be a good opportunity. It was for Orrick Marketing or LTD Global Outsourcing. I was suspicious from the start because when I went to the interview it was in an unmarked office which was pretty run down. While I was waiting to be interviewed there was a woman at a desk in front of me calling hundreds more people to interview for various roles. When I actually got in the first thing the woman did was double check my phone number, then all she did was tell me about the business (in vague terms - all promotion) then invite me back for an a second interview.
It was all a bit fishy so when I got home I googled it to find to more about the company and this came up - www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055060880
Apparently it's pretty much a pyramid scheme - except they don't ask for any initial investment. I'd stay clear - and have canceled my 'second interview'.
Gutted really - I just want a decent job!!
Hope that's useful to someone
