WARNING! Playtex Bottle Users: READ THIS!

If you are using Playtex VentAire Advanced wide 6oz bottles STOP.

The measurements on the bottle are incorrect. I have been dealing with Playtex since early April. I sent them my set of bottles per their request. They tested them and say that they are confident in their calibrations. I requested documentation of their testing and/or video proof and they told me no. So I did my own video to show the results.

This is very important and they are doing nothing!! Improperly mixing baby formula can lead to kidney damage and even death. If you are using these bottles, test them for yourself. If you are getting the same results PLEASE contact Playtex at (888) 310-4290 and stop using them right away!

that's crazy! have you tested to make sure your measuring cup isn't off? I would use several different measuring cups just to rule that possibility out as well. I wouldn't stop hounding playtex until I got my money back.

Yes, I used 2 different measuring cups before actually contacting Playtex in April. Also, I used another Playtex bottle to measure! Same result every single time.

Do you have the VentAire Advanced?? Or the original VentAire bottles?? BPA Free?

Also, are they the Wide bottles?? With the bigger, more "breast-like" nipple?

I'm curious if the narrow bottles are any different. All 7 bottles I have tested had the same result. All were purchased separately over the course of 6 months...

I have the new Ventaire Advanced. With the standard nipples (the bigger ones), slow flow, and I have some wide bottles and some skinnier ones. I bought the 'starter set'. That's so weird that yours didn't match up. I wouldn't give up with Playtex until they do something (at least give you your money back). Maybe go to your local news with that.... just a thought. Like you said in the video, that could be very dangerous!

I bought the 3 pack of the wide bottles first. Then after I contacted Playtex, I bought another 3 pack to be sure. Same problem. About 2 weeks ago I bought the single bottle to do the video with. Are you in the US? I'm wondering if maybe there was a bad batch...?

I'm in Canada too and I just tested mine out (ventaire advance wide) and they were all fine too. Sounds like poor customer service on their end. You should send them that video!
