Washing questions

Hello all

I am planning on getting 12 ebay cheapies to start off with for Christmas off my dad - one random question:

How do you wash - naughty baby nappies or the cloth ones from china....Ive seen something somewhere about tea tree oil? - do you use normal non bio washing powder? - are they best to be air dried or radiator etc? - are they best on a high wash? - do I need to pre-rinse?

Any ideas and help would be much appreciated!
