waterproof sheets for floor protection (home birth)

After my 36week home visit with the midwife today my birth plan has changed!
I may now be opting for a home birth rather than the midwife unit.

Im just going over all the pros and cons at this stage.

Where can I find waterproof sheets to protect my carpets? Is tarpaulin (like you get from b&q type stores) fully waterproof??

I had a homebirth and had a tarpaulin under the pool. It is fully water proof. I also bought a king size waterproof matress cover to chuck on the floor. Cheap as chips (£4 in tesco) and easy to throw away. Good luck! Xx

I've heard of people using shower curtains also, maybe try posting in home and natural birthing??

I got cheap shower curtains from tesco on the MW's suggestion, she also suggested dust sheets for decorating!
