About half an hour ago I coughed, and kinda felt a "squirt" down there...

Thought maybe I'd pee'd myself, went for a wee, the liquid in my knickers wasn't urine, it was kinda sticky and smells a little like spunk. Since then it feels like its leaking...

I dunno???

Put on a pad or a panty liner, if it soaks in an hour head to L&D. I just went pee and when I stood up I had a small "gush" trickle down my leg but i'm pretty convinced it's just more watery discharge...Isn't it fun?! lol. I love how nothing fazes me anymore, after internal exams, hemorrhoids checked, pee examined and what have you...I'm just like Meh...Looks like another nasty thing has come up...oh well....add it to the list.

It could be. I would put on a pad if you have one and see what happens. If it's clear I would go in. If it's yellowish I would assume it's just pee. If it's green I'd deff go in as green could indicate an infection, and if it's your waters with green in it, it can be mecconium. I would just go in if you're unsure just to be on the safe side. Let us know what happens. Good luck.

It's clear and watery. And smells spunky haha!

I've put a pad on. Feel constantly wet

Sounds more like watery discharge to me, especially from the description of the smell. I've been getting the same in recent weeks.

Hope so, hospital bag not in the slightest bit ready.

Defo worth keeping an eye on. my water broke at home on my first and it sounds quite similar to what you have. It just trickled out for the next 24 hours, no big gush - Then i went into labour the next day. You are nearly 36 weeks so its not unheard of. x

Still sounds like a possibility to me despite the smell. I never understood that whole smell thingie when trying to figure out if you're leaking water or urine lol. But it COULD still be discharge and nothing more. But I guess give it some more time to know for sure.

Since it happened while you coughed it could certainly be pee, but I have heard from a midwife that your waters have a distinctive spunk smell. Considering you're only 35 weeks, I would definitely get it checked out!

^ I'm thinking the same actually. Since you're only 35w I'd go. My water bag leaked at 34w and I was admitted for 8 days on antibiotics and steroids. They wouldn't lemme go home until they were sure I was no longer leaking. I would deff go in to be evaluated. And the way it happened with me was I was helping DH paint the bedroom when I was sitting on the floor and felt a vibrating feeling. Nothing significant really. And I felt wet. I didn't think anything of it and 3 days passed by when I kept feeling wet (same as you) and my underwear AND pants would be wet. I assumed it was watery discharge because it wasn't enough for me to think "oh my God it's my water" but I did have cramps. So, when I called up L&D they told me to come in because I was only 34w. When they did the test and I was waiting for the results I was assuming they'd say it was discharge and I could go home. Nope, they came back and told me it was my water and I was staying. If I hadn't gotten the cramps and called L&D I wouldn't have known. Better to just go in hun.

It really could be just pee or discharge which is normal to get alot at this point but you never know..it wont hurt to get it checked out. I find im always wet down there and squirt when i cough or sneeze..when i got checked it was just urine and discharge but its better to have it checked

What is spunk? When my water broke it smelled mildly of chlorine, yet a little sweet almost??

It's 4.30am just got up for a wee, pad felt dry(ish) since going to toilet I'm sooo wet down there (obv I wiped lol) feel very uncomfortable. Got OH to put his hand down there (tmi) but he said I'm soaking wet and usually he is one to deny things are happening iykwim. Gonna try and get some more sleep and go in to be checked when DD1 goes to school in the morning.

Scared actually, as much as I want her here, we are sooo not ready yet :-/ could do with at least another 2 weeks lol xx

My waters leaked with my son at 36 weeks. It was watery, slighty peachy/straw in colour and smelled quite sweet. I could definately tell the difference between discharge, pee and waters.... it was also a constant trickle but never over soaked a pad on for 2 hrs x

On way to hospital, rang assessment centre, midwife on phone said she thinks it's my waters. Just started getting tightenings now in the car :-/

Negative test for amniotic fluid, but during speculum test midwife and doctor both commented on a large mucous plug coming away, midwifes words were "looks like you'll be going into labour very soon" I'm measuring 2 weeks ahead and because of previous reduced movements and polyhydramnious in DD1 pregnancy I am back at 4pm for scan and Doppler and to see consultant

I'm happy to hear you went in. Good luck when you go back. I'm sure it'll all be okay.
