We're on our 3rd month now TTC #1 with no luck as yet. I'm not overly panicked, but a little concerned. Most times when we DTD, I can't hold anything in. As in when he releases it's like instantly everything runs right back out! Do I need to be concerned? How can I get pregnant if nothing goes in the right direction??

Have you tried laying with a pillow under your bum for about 15 minutes after DTD? Totally helped for us! Remember though, it can take up to a year for healthy couples to conceive the first time so don't get too down on yourself :hugs:

I wouldn't be too concerned - three months is no time at all really and don't worry about the 'leaking'.... you'd be surprised what stays in!!

Defo raising your bum & hips helps sperm get where it needs to go. Also most of what leaks out is dead sperm & fluid.....most of them get where they need to be!
You could also try soft cups to keep the sperm up close to the cervix.

Can totally understand this! I am on my 3rd month TTC, I am 27. Had a BFN this morning. I have been using a pillow under my bum, hoping this will work. Feeling a little defeated this morning. I know that it can take up to a year but I guess I am just being parinoid. I am so afraid that I will never be a mom!

I would definitely recommend soft cups. I used them for the first them last night and putting them in was much easier than I thought it would be. No leakage whatsoever and I was able to toss and turn and move around. I even got up in the middle of the night to get water and it was okay.

Although I'm sure the leakage is okay (all you need is one sperm to reach the egg) it makes me feel better that I'm doing what I can to keep it all in. It sure beats lying on the bed not moving at all with your hips raised for 30 min.

I guess I have to research soft cups because that is a pretty foreign thing to me! GUess in all my obsession, I missed something! haha

They are great! This is my first cycle using them & have used them a few time....no leakage at all which makes me feel better & I leave then in until the morning!

Thanks everyone! I never heard of softcups before, might check that out; coz last night it was instant, as soon as he pulled out so did everything else! :( I'm 27 too, almost 28 so Stephlid we're in a very similar situation!

Yep! We'll get through the madness as a team!!!

I have a question...I have been using OPK's and getting two surges... does this mean I am ovulating twice? Can you ovulate twice? Both times I get cramping... usually CD 11 and then again CD19-20. I am going to start tracking my BBT after AF (if it comes). I have a short cycle anyways, usually 22-25. Any advice? I know it has only been 3 months TTC but I am worried that something is wrong. Also, anyone have any BBT charting programs that they can recommend??

I have the same problem! In fact at one of my dr's appointments the doc asked me if it always leaked out when we were done. I said yes and he told me that my uterus is really tilted. So of course he recommend putting a pillow under my hips after dtd. Now I stay in bed after dtd and wrap a towel around me and dont get up til the next morning. Kinda gross I know...

what i do is i lie with a towel underneath and when DH is done, before he pulls out i grab the towel and wrap in around his,...well... and then he pulls out slowly and then i put the towel there and put a pillow under me. it def works for me, sometimes a little comes out but usually not!! try it!
