He seems so hungry and not satisified with milk anymore.

He stares at us when we eat and is constantly shoving things in his mouth. He can sit upright now.

Should i wean him at 4 months or wait? i keep going back and forth on y decision?

p.s i weaned my dd at 17 weeks due to reflux dr recommended it. her reflux was horrendous:wacko:

Wait, the things you have mentioned are normal parts of development and not signs he's ready for solids. Watching you eat, well he will watch everything you do and the things in his mouth is him learning about textures and possibly teething.

If he's healthy and happy, I'd keep going with just milk. Solids won't replace the calories he needs, they'll just make him feel full without the calories, which isn't good unless there is an issue. It doesn't sound like there is so milk is what he needs.

I'd wait. Milk has more nutrition than solids at this point. My LO was drinking 8oz every two to three hours during the day and about 12oz of hungry milk at bedtime until he was weaned at nearly six months. He still had one night feed until around 5.5 months too. Even now he's fully weaned (as in eating two meals a day plus a small snack), he still drinks 3-4 bottles of up to 8oz!

I'd wean but I weaned my two at 19 weeks and 20 weeks. Could you speak to your Doctor or health visitor?

Iv began weaning around 19 weeks as he was gaining weight so fast (3lbs in less than 3 weeks) and taking 8oz every 2.5 hours.

Im happy with my decision although as its a very gradual process I dont think he is any fuller as to start with he would get a few spoons of porridge or banana which didnt exactly fill him.
