For those of you who are weaning did any of you change your baby's formula? (say to follow on or hungry baby) Did you find it made any difference and for what reason did you change? Also, how many ozs does you baby drink? I am asking because Poppy only takes between 20 and 24 ozs a day and had never taken more than 26oz ever because she can't keep the fluid down.

Thanks :hugs:

We changed Ruby from hungry baby back to first milk after we'd been doing BLW about 6 weeks because she kept throwing it up.

20-24oz per day for a 6 month old is absolutely fine, the guidelines say 18-21oz. Ruby has 20oz per day.

I haven't reached weaning quite yet, but several friends and family members have just gone through it. Those that tried switching from hungry baby to follow on formula had big trouble with hungry babies, and all had to switch back again to satisfy their LO's. Apparently there is no problem with using it for quite some time after 6 months, although my SIL was told off for still using it for her 18 month old who can't have normal cows milk!
