Wedding dress question

I have seen my dream dress but sadly it is way out of my budget!!! I was just wondering if anyone has ever hired their wedding dress? Im on a smallish budget and all the dresses I see are very expensive. My max budget is prob £300 is it possible to get a new dress on this budget? x x

Hi hun, i've not hired my dress but you can definately get a new dress on that budget. My friend got a gorgeous dress from Monsoon for £150. There a quite a few places on the high street that do wedding dresses - Monsoon, Marks & Sparks, BHS, Debenhams, off the top of my head. You could also try sample sales when wedding dress shops sell off their samples at a reduced price. Good luck! x

hey hun,im having my dress made my someone and she can copy a design for you but knock the price down by a few hundred! obv it depends how much your dress is in the first place.

I found a shop in a big shopping centre that did prom dresses but also held a small selection of wedding dresses - All from £250 up! They didnt look or feel cheap either! It is possible to find some - also if yoiu buy just out of season october time most places have sales on to make way for the new stuff x

Debenhams have a sale on their wedding dresses at the moment- not sure when it ends.

It was Caterina by Jenny Packman, its £3,500 I think Guess I just didnt have a clue of how much wedding dresses cost.

If you don't mind my asking, have you set a budget for your dress? Although its not discount but there are a lot of good options in Prom Dresses 2011 & has some very reasonable dresses. I got mine from there and was given the option to buy the display one for £250 ,i didn't as I had budgeted 800 for my dress so i just paid to have a brand new one, Which was only £275!! It was the most perfect dress and i fell in love with it as soon as i saw it!

I think as others have suggested... keep looking at all the sale rails.. You'd suprised what you can find for £300
